Thula
thula first began when I returned to Australia, from living in the UK for many
years,
with a new husband and baby on the way.
Over
the years my children have influenced the design and thula thula
in many ways. My
second
child was born at 25 weeks and spent many months in NICU,
from
that experience I have a sister brand "hush" for
premature and newborn babies.
Thula
is a Zulu word meaning quiet / tranquil. Fitting well with
the way I intend to design
my clothing, timeless cuts and
draping made into clothes your children will want to wear.
From
my tiny little studio I design, pattern make and sew everything
you see in store.
Every
design is tested on my own children - the way they move, run and
play is
taken in to consideration, I believe clothes should be
easy to wash and wear.
But why not
do all this in clothes with
style.
They
are only children once.
